Going Back in Time ft Jord

I live in an area of the UK called The Cotswolds, which is full of pretty little countryside villages and the main Spa town of Cheltenham which is a  buzzing place full of independent boutiques and pretty gardens – but about 20 minutes away are the historic docks of Gloucester, which were built back in the 1800s.

In recent years the old warehouses have been given a makeover, now housing gorgeous, loft style apartments and there’s a ton of restaurants and cafes by the water.

It’s a great place to head to for a chill and a wander, watching the boats go by and I love the old bits and pieces of machinery which are used as sculptures outside which adds to the cool industrial vibe!

It seemed fitting to be using the Docks as a location for the photos about my new Jord watch because wearing it has made me think about the time before we relied on our mobile phones for everything – when we watched TV for the weather, we wrote dates in our diary, we picked up a paper to get the latest gossip, we set our alarm clock by our bed of an evening – and we looked at our watch to tell the time!

I am totally guilty of constantly having my head in my phone whether it be looking at Instagram, the Google diary I share with my husband to keep track of what we are both up to or replying to emails and so on ….. and unless I’m sitting at my desk where I have a clock above it, one of the things I often look at my phone for is to see the time.

But when Jord sent me this beautiful watch, I fell in love with wearing one all over again and it’s hardly been off my wrist since!

Koa Rose Gold Watch

So it was a lovely sunny day down at the Docks, but really windy!

I‘d actually never seen wooden watches before and it’s so nice to wear something natural plus they feel lovely to wear, because the wood warms up with the heat of your body!

Can someone tell me how you’re supposed to take a selfie wearing humongous sunglasses, without getting weird reflections?!

Coffee and cake fix after taking lots of photos 😉

If you would like to treat yourself to something special, or have a family birthday/anniversary coming up, one of these would make a beautiful gift. They come in a lovely wooden gift box.

Jord are giving one of my readers $100 towards their own wooden watch (free worldwide shipping) – all you have to do is click here.

Winner will be randomly chosen on 03/09/17 and everyone entering will get $25 off a purchase too!

There’s a great range of Womens  and Men’s watches – 13 different woods with different combinations of faces.

I love how the historic docks have been so vastly improved and developed over the years, it’s such a lovely spot to visit. The wooden watch looks like the perfect timepiece to wear in such a historic location.
