Autumn Style Essentials Ft Pretty Little Thing

A couple of months ago I went through and did a huge clear out of my wardrobe and finally got it properly organised in a different and really easy way (which I will be sharing on here next week!) – so that means it’s now really easy to see what I have and what I might need – ok, want – to add to it!

Then Pretty Little Thing asked if I would like to collaborate with them and make a shopping wish list, so that was perfect timing and I decided to pick out my Autumn ‘style essentials’ that can be added to any wardrobe:  (as usual, click the pics to shop!)

I’m a huge fan of hats! My favourite type is the fedora which I think is a very flattering shape and although a lot of people wear black ones, I think it’s lovely to introduce bit of colour and burgundy goes with black, grey, cream etc so this would actually be really versatile:

I absolutely love anything with embroidered details on it, particularly when it’s mixed with lace or beading and I think it’s lovely to have extra texture and detail with your outfits in the colder months when life can be a little grey!

This is a sexy little number, the combination of embroidery and pearls is beautiful. Long sleeves to keep you warm of an evening and I’m up for glamour at any time of the day so you could also put a camisole underneath it and thick opaque tights with ankle or knee-high boots for the daytime:

Soft Knits:

Who doesn’t love a nice soft jumper at this time of year? For me though, it’s got have something extra about it as I’m not a big fan of plain knits and I really like this twist on the classic cream cable knit with it’s distressed open details.

I would layer this with a thin roll neck or long sleeve tee underneath and it would look amazing faux leather trousers:

A Medium Weight Coat:

When full on freezing cold Winter hits you’ll find me in an oversized, shapeless puffer monstrosity because I absolutely hate the cold… but in Autumn I like to wear something just a little more chic ๐Ÿ˜‰

All shades of red are really in the moment and I always like the waterfall shape which is pretty and flattering, so this coat – which is really affordable – is something you could wear day or night for some lovely rich colour.

I like to wear lace all year round and I adore all the detailing on this midi dress! It’s perfect for Autumn with the high neck and long sleeves and I think you could get a lot of wear out of it. I would pair this with grey over the knee boots and a lovely long wool coat – or contrast it with a tougher looking biker jacket. Beautiful.

Over the knee black boots are an absolute classic for this time of year and I wear them non-stop! Having a block heel is much more comfortable and I like the subtle lace up detail on the back of this pair.  I don’t like anything too full on with my boots because if you want to wear them with a patterned dress, I think you need to keep them subtle so the overall look isn’t too ‘busy’.

So these are perfect and would go with pretty much anything! A definite Autumn/Winter staple for me.:

I hate to mention Christmas, but it really isn’t that far away and I’m going to be subjected to the annual Christmas party with the other half once again! I always want something that makes me feel confident and glam and going for something in a sheer fabric keeps it edgy. Sequins are pretty much a must for me at that time of year and how gorgeous are the sparkly details on this dress?!

I love the flattering V-neck which, when you are fairly boobalicious like me, is great and the slit up the front is super sexy. The top section of the dress is lined so no need for a bra and it comes with soft, high waisted and super stretchy pants – but if that is a bit too daring for you, you can easily wear it over a camisole and thick tights or leggings:

I then got rather distracted by all the beauty products Pretty Little Thing have, I didn’t realise they stocked so many big brands and I’ve wanted this Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter from The Balm for literally a couple of years now.

It’s meant to be a really good shade for people like me with very fair skin and I think in the dull winter months it’s really important to still have a nice glow! This would also be a lovely gift:

Then I saw these beautiful Spectrum makeup brushes! I’ve been lusting after some of their brushes for ages, they are just so pretty and I always like to have plenty of different shaped eye make up ones to hand. This set would make a really lovely Christmas present!

Speaking of Christmas, last year I missed out on all the Black Friday sales because I was abroad, so I’m going to make sure I wait to do most of my pressie shopping until then.  Pretty Little Thing will have a big sale, so if any of these things I’ve mentioned have tempted you, it will definitely be worth having a good look through their site as they have a huge choice.

Thank you so much to Pretty Little Thing for working with me on this post.

I’ll have pics of some of their pieces over on my instagram next week!

Tiff, that’s a great selection in here! I love all the hats and the only fedora I’ve got is black (which I am oh so bored with) so it’s good to know there are other options out there! And that sequin dress! <3 <3 <3 I would never in a million years be brave enough to wear such a piece (plus, with my bust, the V-neck would perhaps go down to the floor haha) but it's a gorgeous idea for festive days indeed!
