Christmas Sparkle – My Birds & My Jewellery!
I love seeing everybody’s festive pictures so thought I would do a quick post to show you my decorations for this year and also some lovely, sparkly jewellery I’m going to be wearing which I think would make lovely presents if you are not quite finished with your shopping yet!
Every year there are so many nice different colour combinations of Christmas decorations around and I usually get tempted into buying a few extra bits and pieces, but this year I’ve been really good and stuck to what I already had, just with the addition of one new candle from Homesense as a treat!
A few years ago I started collecting little clip-on birds from a local independent shop and this year I’ve decided to mainly use those and keep the tree quite minimal because I’ve already got loads of plants and pictures in the room and I didn’t want things to look too busy!
The other type of sparkle I love at Christmas – well at any time of year really, but especially now – is jewellery and for me it really makes an outfit, especially when you’re getting dressed up!
I’ve got a long, black sequinned dress which Pretty Little Thing gifted me earlier on in the year and I’ve been saving that to wear to a Christmas party. I usually wear quite strong, statement jewellery but because this dress is already quite blingy I’m going for more delicate layers of sparkle and am totally in love with the jewellery from Astrid and Miyu!
They have so many gorgeous, stackable pieces that are simple but unusual designs and I love it when I find a brand that does things a little differently.
This Chevron ring is so striking with it’s three different finishes and the glass bird is one of my favourites:
The circle stud earrings are delicate enough to sit alongside other designs if you have multiple piercings and I like a little bit of rose gold without it being too full on and warm – I think these mix really nicely with silver pieces:
And I’m obsessed with these ear cuffs! There are several different designs and colours, so you can wear them layered up alongside each other and I want to collect them all ….
A bird instead of a star this year:
If you’re after some last-minute gifts their prices are pretty reasonable and the packaging is lovely too, so I think any of their pieces would make great presents:
I have a real thing for stars and moons in both jewellery and prints and they’ve just released a range of little sparkling crescent moons that are so beautiful – I’ve got my eye on them for the January sales!
