Finally its officially Summer and therefore sunglasses weather….. but in reality I use them all year round, so are they something worth investing a little more in?
I’ve tended to go for budget options in the past because I have a habit of breaking them …. however, about 10 yrs ago I splurged on a pair of D&G’s, on a whim whilst on holiday – and it changed my sunglasses game forever – because they’re still going!
So I realised that maybe I wasn’t as careless with previous pairs as I thought, I was just buying cheap ones that weren’t made to last and then repeatedly replacing them….
It was with sadness that I’ve finally said goodbye to my trusty Dolce & Gabbana babies and hello to a very cute but classic pair of Chanels!
(And yes I don’t mind admitting that their case also brings me pleasure as it mimics one of their quilted bags that I will never be able to buy)…. and I think they make my budget Summer blazer outfit look far more expensive!
The frames and nice and thick to make a statement and I love the curves in the centre contrasted with the squared off edges.
I think if you invest in good-quality accessories, you can mix them up with budget wardrobe options like this blazer from Shein and your whole outfit looks more expensive – it’s the perfect pale, neutral shade for Summer and great for a light layer to dress up skinny jeans on a warm evening….

Officially I have an oval face, but sometimes I think it looks a bit round, so having the sharper corners of the glasses is more flattering.
I’ve worn the sunglasses non-stop since I got them and had fun playing around by the pool taking some pics of them!
